Yard Hand

Our company is currently seeking a yard hand to join our well established and successful team in the home improvement industry.

• Permanent full time role
• Penrith location, onsite parking – work close to home

About Us
– Hi-Craft is an Australian family owned company with over 65 years experience
– We build high quality Alfrescos, Carports, Decks, Patio covers, Pergolas, Sunrooms, Additions and Extensions
– Based in the Penrith area with a very well established team and low staff turnover

About the Role
– Full time, Monday to Friday, 7am-4pm

– This role involves physical labour and therefore you must be fit

– This is a very fluid role with priorities changing quickly and the right person will be an adaptable multitasker, work well under pressure within tight deadlines and be a good communicator
– Manual labour assist
– Inventory management
– Liaising with purchasing officer discussing any issues with orders or deliveries
– Liaising with marketing to assist in organising materials for trade shows
– Reporting directly to GM

Daily tasks include:
– picking and packing jobs
– loading and unloading trucks
– receiving product
– restocking shelves
– computer entry
– deliveries
– yard maintenance
– general cleaning
– ad hoc requests

Qualifications & Experience

The right candidate will have:
– white card
– forklift licence (min 2 years experience)
– computer literate
– MR Truck licence and drive manual (desirable but not essential)
– previous experience working in the building industry (desirable but not essential)
